“Gem of Trinidad”

Best food.

Best company.

Best accomodations.

Cutest dog.

Milagros & Bury are geniunely one of the kindest couples I've ever met. They do everything possible to give their guests the most pleasant & comfortable stay possible. They are also fun and creative, forward thinking people that are so great to talk to. As if that wasn't enough, Bury is also a fantastic cook and they have a beautiful rooftop area. Wish I could go back right now!

“Can i stay forever?”

If i could rearrange my trip so i stayed more time with Milagros and Bury i would. As it was we changed things around so we could stay an extra two days we loved it so much. As stated in previous posts this was the highlight of our trip as well. I love these two people, they made our trip so much more special - and oh my dear lord, Bury can cook! His food was hands down the best food we had our entire trip in Cuba and the pork was the best i have had EVER. They make you feel like you are truly a part of their family (and you dont even have to clean dishes) It was my girlfriends 30th birthday over our stay there and during diner on the beautiful rooftop patio they surprised us by inviting two guitarists who serenaded her. This is just one of the many examples of how they go out of their way to make your time special. However for all they do they are just as willing to give you privacy and time to explore the quaint town of Trinidad. Their location is very close to the center of town but is quiet enough to sleep well. the rooms are clean and comfortable and we could not have asked for any more. Its a great spot to sip rum and look from the terrace onto the street. In my opinion its the best place to stay in the best town in Cuba Oh and they have the coolest Weiner dog.

“Casa Milagrosa is the Best!”

The Casa Milagrosa is a wonderful place to stay in Trinidad. Your hosts Milagros and Bury will treat you like family. The place is perfectly situated near the central park in Trinidad and everything is walking distance from there. The hosts keep the place spotlessly clean and the guest room is great with it's own little balcony. There is a rooftop patio with a wonderful view of the surrounds that is perfect for enjoying the sunset. Bury is a great cook and the food is always fantastic. You will be well taken care of here. I highly recommend staying at the Hostal La Milagrosa when your travels take you Trinidad.

“For me, the best in Trinidad”

for me, the best in Trinidad. Milagros and Buri are wonderful hosts and awesome people. Every meal Buri cooks is great. And hanging out with them in their kitchen and terrace is a for me a combination language class, cultural exchange and laugh riot. You won't be disappointed.

“perfect place to stay”

i cant speak highly enough of milagros and bury and their house as a place to stay in trinidad. the location is just around the corner from one of the main squares, the bed is super comfortable with great pillows and sheets (something that is rare in cuba) the terrace is super cool on top of the house, bury is the best cook and milagros will make sure your time spent in trinidad will be the best ever. it is easy to get to the beach, the mountains and to all the local music clubs and events. you will not regret a single moment here.... i go there every year at least once.

“Western Standards in a Cuban Location”

Whatever you think about Cuba or Trinidad, this is as good as casas particulares get. Architecturally the house is not as impressive as some in the larger towns, but the service certainly is.The accommodation is well enough described in other entries, as is the wonderfully warm welcome from the hosts. When we were there (end-Feb 2009) the terrace dining experience was draughtier than ideal - we battled against gales by weighing down the tablecloth, cruets, etc by leaning chairs against the table edge. Much more impressive was the first sight of the food when it arrived: a selection of well cooked stuff on a huge 20-inch plate (for each of us!). The food itself was well enough prepared but, try as I may, I can not see how anyone could call it Italian as one othe entry did.

The interesting bits of Trinidad are all about 10 minutes walk away and can be seen in a couple of days. Recommendations: stay no more than 2 days; eat at Hostal Milagros; drink beer (the Cuban wine is barely drinkable and imported Spanish has a lot of travel miles attached to it); take an evening walk up the hill behind the main plaza; do not under any circumstances hire a car (for various reasons, not the leat of which is that all factories seem to be engaged only in the manufacture of signs perpetuating the revolutionary zeal).

“Linda casa, buenos anfitriones, excelente comida”

“great food, great people”

Stayed 3 nights at La Milagrosa and it was the highlight of my Cuba trip. Mila and Bury are great hosts - very friendly, cheerful and accommodating. Bury is also an excellent cook and you should definitely take your meals there. The only room is nice (two double beds and private bath), the bathroom is small but modern and functional. Very clean and a very well stocked fridge. A small private balcony facing the street and a large rooftop terrace where you can eat and watch the sun go down. The only downside is that the room is at the front of the casa (there's no difference between a hostal and a casa) and it's a bit noisy in the morning - not from traffic, but from street life. It's not right in the centre, but only about a 5 minute walk - and it is quieter than the centre at night. I will stay here again if I return to Trinidad.
