A Real Treat and Genuine Experience of Cuban Hospitality

We booked our two night stay based on Trip Advisor reviews and emails back and forth with the owners, Milagros and Bury. We were careful to confirm our bookings several times and also to check in with them after we arrived to Havana. They were waiting for and expecting us with open arms. The rooms, while basic, are clean and comfortable and include a fridge stacked with refreshments available for personal use at a cost not unlike a mini bar in a hotel, only much better. The room is also air conditioned.

The ambiance in the house is airy and pleasant and the top roof deck with a view of the town is spectacular. We enjoyed spending the afternoons in that open air space. We had read that Bury is a great cook and thus we decided for an extra cost to have our breakfast and dinner meals at home. Bury is a wonderful cook and we enjoyed two really good dinners; and breakfast was tasty and large enough to keep us going until dinner.

Most of all Milagros and Bury are warm and energetic individuals who strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible. You only have to ask for something and they will provide to the best of their abilities. We enjoyed getting to know them and would stay with them again should we return to Trinidad, Cuba.
